What is vector art?

Vector art and vector graphics are shapes with points, lines, and curves, which are all based on mathematical expressions. "Vector", in the "art" context, implies a digital image that has points and curves which can be edited using a vector editing program.

Vector art is excellent for printing and when you need to enlarge your artwork.

The image above shows an example in the difference in quality after we enlarged the Graphics Factory logo by 1200%. As you can see the vector art quality is excellent and the raster image quality is jagged and blurry.

Vector formats as opposed to raster image formats can be viewed smoothly at any desired size.
